Jan is a coach, rhythmic movement teacher and choreographer, based in Guildford, UK
“MCT provides a supportive environment where you can experiment and make mistakes and the detailed feedback encourages you to improve. The thorough grounding in the choreographic process and application to the ice has given me the confidence and the structure to develop my artistic voice on the ice.”

Sandra is a coach and choreographer originally from Barcelona, Spain and now resides in Greensboro, North Carolina.
“Having the tools is just the start, the possibilities are endless. There is no right or wrong or shoulds or shouldn’ts, just different ways, different visions, and different intentions.”
Emelyn was a ballet and modern dancer of 10+ years and then turned to figure skating, which became a passion and a love. This love grew as she has entered the adult figure skating community, where everyone lifts each other up and makes sure everyone is welcome. She passed her Gold Skating Skills this year and placed 2nd at the 2025 Adult Midwest Sectionals Intermediate/Novice Championship.
“Learning to grow outside of my comfort zone and having respect and a deep appreciation for modern figure skating. MCT has given me an opportunity to grow as a skater in skills, in artistry, and in knowledge, which I am excited to continue to use in future skating projects and in my own everyday practice.”

Jade Lee (also known as Coach Lili) has been skating since she was five years old and currently loves being a coach, based in the Greater Boston area. As a young skater, she did not always feel like she belonged on the ice. It wasn’t until her choreographer came along and broke her out of her shell by teaching her how to own her creative expression. In becoming MCT certified, Jade hopes to help her students find their voice on the ice.
“One takeaway from MCT is trusting my creative intuition. Kate and Garrett created such a safe space to explore nonjudgmental and we were given such effective tools to experiment with. There were many times were I envisioned the choreography a certain way, but once I stepped on the ice or put the choreography on bodies, it changes in front of my eyes to what it was meant to be. I have to learn to live with the choreography’s aliveness and trust in-the-moment decisions I made about it!”

Christie is coach, Theatre on Ice choreographer, and competing adult skater with 26 years of skating experience. Originally from Cincinnati, OH, they were a member of the University of Delaware’s Intercollegiate Skating Team from 2010 to 2014, training under renowned coaches Ron Ludington and Scot Gregory during their time at the university.
“Overall, this course does what I think is very needed in skating. I had so much fun feeling like I could break the rules and do something different without being so hyper fixated on the competitive elements like jumps and spins. A major takeaway from this course is the breakdown of the vocabulary terms that are so commonly used in Theatre on Ice CEs. Not only that, its great for any kind of skating and as a coach that is very valuable.”

Morgan began skating off and on at age 14 but have been consistently on the ice for the past 14 years. With approximately 12 years of coaching experience, she has been an active and dedicated member of the adult skating community since 2015. Her competitive achievements include four gold medals at the Adult National Championships across multiple disciplines, including pairs, partnered dance, and showcase. In 2024, Morgan represented Team USA at the Winter World Masters Games, earning a silver medal in pairs with their partner.
“My biggest takeaway was that order to improve and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish, I had to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”

Amy has been skating for 20 years and began her journey in movement as a dancer, with training in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary/modern, and pointe. A U.S. Figure Skating gold medalist, she continues to compete in adult singles and Theatre on Ice. With 15 years of coaching experience, she has worked with a wide range of skaters, including the development of competitive athletes.
“MCT has given me the tools to compose and analyze meaningful creations. Before this class, I would make decisions not fully understanding why, and now I can look at any piece of choreography and better understand the choices the choreographer made. Such a wonderful experience!”
