SPRING 2022 Virtual Deep Dive Series on IJS Singles Choreography
Our 2022 Deep Dive Series will be an in-depth virtual choreography education program on tools when choreographing for singles skating in the International Judging System. Join us as we share tips and tricks to create interesting and creative programs all the while making the most out of the scoring system. Guest Technical Specialists and a Judge (to be announced) will also join us for some of the sessions!
The 4 virtual sessions will run on Tuesdays from 8:30-10pm ET. The dates and themes of each class are:
- March 8: “Starting the Program”
- March 15: “Step Sequences”
- March 29: “Program Components Part 1”
- April 5: “Program Components Part 2”
You can choose to register for 1 class at $25/class or all 4 classes for $75 total. Registration is available on the form below for skaters and coaches ages 18+; registration will be available for the individual classes through Friday, April 1, but the registration deadline with the discounted rate for all 4 classes will be Monday, February 21. All classes will be on the Zoom platform and will be recorded to view afterwards for those participants who register and pay ahead of time.
All 4 sessions will be led by AIT Co-Executive Directors, Kate McSwain and Garrett Kling. The Deep Dive Series is a more in-depth research style session that will give you the opportunity to experience hands-on exercises while also learning the basic tools and concepts in the development of IJS tools in singles skating.
